Call to Worship

As one week finishes and another week begins, we have come to this house of worship that we might place ourselves, our lives, our loved ones, and all our cares and joys in the embrace of God, whose welcome is always assured.

We come confident that God is always with us.

We come thankful that, in this world in which we live, we have this place to call our spiritual home and people to companion us on our journey. We come to give thanks.

Come, and let us worship God.

The Prayer of Jesus

Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil:

for thine is the kingdom and the power

and the glory, forever and ever.

Because of the high numbers of COVID-19 cases, we will be worshipping online for at least the first weeks of 2022. Please join us online via Zoom or through the recorded service.  Contact the church office by e-mail at whuc.office@gmail.com to receive announcements of our upcoming services and links to the recorded service.

Omicron Variant Alert!

There has been growing in numbers in our faith community who are confirmed with the Covid 19 virus, especially the Omicron variant.  It is very contagious, as you may already know. People say it is weaker than Delta variant and it doesn’t attack our lungs as often, but it still causes illness for at least a number of days. Let us do our best not to be caught by the virus and also not to spread out to others.

The New Daycare site downstairs is currently being renewed with fresh paint and updates to some facilities by the new childcare operator. Photos will be shared when the renovation is done. In the meanwhile, we ask you to pray for the approval by the Fraser Health. We very much look forward to seeing our new daycare open up soon!

Kids School: Children are encouraged to come to worship via Zoom.  There will be a time for Word, and they will be provided worksheets.

Saturday ESL conversation class: offered every Saturday free of charge, 10am-12 noon, in the board room. Classes will resume on Jan 8 2022. (request: Paul 778-980-3484)

Korean Bible study: every Saturday, 4pm-6pm, in the board room. (request: Paul 778-980-3484)
